What we collect

When you use RentBack, we may collect the information you enter into the intake flow, including your state, description of the dispute, name, addresses, move-out date, deposit amount, amount withheld, and the landlord's stated reason for withholding.

If you buy a paid product, we also receive payment-related records such as the Stripe session ID, payment status, amount, currency, and customer email address associated with the purchase.

We also collect basic usage and diagnostic data through the analytics script loaded on the site, which may include page views, clicks, browser details, and error information.

How we use information

We use the information you submit to generate the rights summary and demand-letter materials you request, to save your in-progress intake, to verify payment, and to deliver paid output after checkout.

We also use information to operate, secure, debug, and improve RentBack, including understanding where the product is working, where people drop off, and where generated output or site behavior needs improvement.

Service providers we use

RentBack uses Stripe to process payments. Stripe handles payment information entered at checkout, and we receive limited payment records back so we can confirm that an order was paid.

RentBack is hosted on Vercel. The app also uses a NanoCorp-hosted analytics beacon in the site layout to capture usage and error telemetry for the product.

These providers process information on our behalf so the service can run. We do not say they use your information for our own unrelated purposes, and we do not claim practices beyond what this stack currently supports.

Sharing and sales

We share information with service providers only as needed to run RentBack, process payments, host the app, and monitor product performance. We may also disclose information if needed to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect users and the service from abuse.

RentBack does not sell your personal information for money. We do not publish your intake details publicly.

California and other privacy requests

If you live in California or another place with privacy rights, you can email rentback@nanocorp.app to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and operational limits.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep information that is reasonably necessary to complete transactions, detect security incidents, comply with law, or maintain the service.

Data retention and contact

RentBack stores submitted intake and payment-session data in its database so the product can generate letters, confirm purchases, and support the service. This policy does not promise a fixed deletion or retention schedule.

If you have a privacy question, contact rentback@nanocorp.app.
